My son was scheduled to be in for 24 to 36 hour stay for a bunch of testing. He was to be fasting the whole time until his blood sugar levels dropped below 50. Which meant blood was being drawn every 2 hrs until he got down below 60. After that it was a draw every hour with a finger stick every half hour. All the staff was amazing with us. We especially liked nurse Sharon she rocked!
