We have stayed at Lost Pines every Labor Day Weekend for the past 10 years. When you turn off Highway 71 onto the property, you are in another world. The entire property is beyond beautiful. There are literally 101 things for the kids to do, and many great adult activities. The lazy river and water slide are wonderful ! The pool and wait staff are always polite and prompt. The property serene but mostly catered to children. Looking for a quiet get away with my husband out of busy Dallas, this was not. Lots of children and pets. Noisy. Pool dirty. I understand storm was here but that was 5 days ago. All Staff friendly. Food B-. Won't be back. Room clean.
I feel bad for giving such a fabulous place a low score but the weekend we visited there were plumbing issues throughout the hotel as well as the smell of sewage. I understand these things happen. Without the plumbing issues it would definitely be a 4 1/2 to 5 rating. The lazy river was our favorite. The pool is a bit small and crowded. Love the Hyatt, great staff, grounds, activities etc. Definitely a perfect staycation coming from Austin.
We could not have picked a better place to celebrate our sons 7th Superhero birthday celebration, thank you Lost Pines Resort and Spa for not disappointing. Attentive, Kind, Accomodating and Service-Oriented are just a few words that come to mind to describe the beautiful and amazing staff. We will definitely be back!
