RecommendedI was recently there for 8 days. I had an emergency C-section with severe preeclampsia. This stay included high risk maternity, icu and then a stay at 2 west. Followed up by care at ambulatory care. The nurses were phenomenal. I was in a very scary situation and they did everything to make sure I felt safe and received the care (alongside the doctors) that ultimately led me to be able to go home. They are the worst. When my mom, who had Alzheimer's was there, we told them them at they needed to have a sitter with her if I wasn't there, because she would wander. I left for a couple hours to bathe and care for my kids and when I returned, they had her tied in a wheelchair at the nurses station. UNACCEPTABLE!! They said the only other recourse was to use soft restraints on her to keep her in bed which agitated her. First off, Huntington needs to stop their horrible discrimination against all indigent people as well as people on medi-cal. They have made it a known habit of denying necessary treatment to patients who don't have good insurance. I have more horror stories than can be listed as well as PTSD as a result of the awful treatment and abuse I have suffered at the hands of several Dr's, RN's and security at this hospital! My 2 months old baby was suffered at this hospital!! Me and and husband took our 2 months baby to Huntington Hospital emergency room since my baby has been pooped more than the 5-7 times a day. We just worried that she would be dehydrated. We wanted to double check if she was having diarrhea or other virus infections. Doctor Charles bug or buck made me feel so insulted! I went in for ear and throat pain thinking I had an infection cause it was so red n hurting so I asked for something to help me: meaning “antibiotics” but then he suggested right away he wasn’t going to give me narcotics!!! I was so insulted and shocked to be treated like that!
Outstanding patient care! Very thankful to have had them in my time of need. Thank you to every single one of you at Huntington Hospital. The quick thinking ER Doctors saved my life with an EpiPen.
