Worst banking ever. Had the account for 1 week. On day 3 they close the account. Took 2 days to get someone the phone for them to go 'ummmm, you'll have to go the branch". At the branch, I learn that they "sent back" a $500 deposit. Only neither the company nor I have received the $500 so where did it go? And they legit closed the account because they don't know what the ****is going on...
Absolutely do not get a loan from TCF Bank. I had a loan with ************** which was bought out by TCF bank. My automatic payments didn't work and took me months of calls with TCF bank to finally get it fixed. In the meantime they charged me late fees but later waved them. In April suddenly the automatic payments weren't working again. I found out that the automatic payments had a $ cap and that they payment didn't happen because the monthly payment had increased past the $ cap. The reason why it increased. Well well well, No surprise that Huntington as a scam. Set up auto drafts from my bank account. This allowed them to double dip from my bank account. I discovered the double dip after I mailed in payment in full for my RV. There response... sorry for your luck. The company fraudulently charged my bank account, and wont offer a refund except for it to go back to what was owed on the RV after the fact. Complete and utter **... DONT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

I am a Huntington Bank customer. I have accounts with it, including direct deposit of my humble paycheck. On April 13, 2021, I went to get a credit card. It was denied due to alleged "Limited Credit Experience". I am not clear why, when last month with my other credit card I received more than $2,000.00 in credit, which I will pay in the next weeks. I used to think TCF was a good bank but my feelings has since changed. I do all my banking on line as well as receive my statements on line. TCF has updated their emails to send out a notice about my monthly statement being available. The problem is they used to title the email as "Dear Client". they now send the email with my "First, ************* Name". I've asked for my email to be removed. Because of an enployee inability to update an address on my profile when the primary address was updated, my new bank card that expires at the end of the month went to a wrong address. When I can to inquire about the new card, I learned about the incorrect address. After explaining multiple times that the address was incorrect and jumping through hoops to get it correct, a new card was to be sent. As of right now, I am stuck in an infinite loop of nowhere with this bank! If there were a ZERO, these idiots would get it. I've done business with them for over 25 years and just recently I had a charge on my debit card that I did not make. The fraud department texted me and I said it was NOT my charge and to decline the purchase. When I got home from traveling, they had POSTED that charge and 2 others that were also charged fraudulently. They have now posted, taken the money and refuse to give it back.
