I have always liked Hunter they are close to NYC, have difficult trails and great snow making. My only complaint is the terrain park was really lame.
We had a fabulous weekend on the mountain, the conditions were fantastic! Specially on Sunday. Of course there was ICE... what else can you expect with this melt winter... After skiing all day we went inside, we had a fabulous party, fireplaces everywhere and good cool beers. BTW delicious waffles home cooked. Thank you, Ivan
Jon at the bar, he's a friend of mine. Great place, close to home. The mountain made a killer recovery this past week in response to the February melt; my hat's off to the snow making team.
They have a sushi bar. That says it all..............
Awesome trails!! Will definitely be going back for the 2017/18 season!
Everyone that works there are very friendly and seemed to really enjoy their jobs, I don't blame them. Although not all of the trails were opened, the ones that were were in decent enough shape, giving the weather. A little bit icy at times, but overall it was a lot of fun and Hunter Mountain is and will continue to be one of my favorite places in New York.

Well it was my first time was good because it wasn't to busy but reading others reviews it looks like I did choose the perfect day
I skied all day Monday, and thought it was great! Conditions were good, and was impressed considering the warm weather we've had this season. Hunter Mnt. Rocks!
