We have always loved Hula Hut and still like the food and the ambience. However, the drinks have gotten increasingly sloppy, watered down and disappointing. The Bloody Mary's, for example, used to be exceptional (including the presentation), but yesterday my husband got one that was bland and had no celery, olives or lime. My margarita was ok, but, I had asked for salt. Don't go for great food...go for the atmosphere. Food is overall average but for Austin it is good, drinks are solid, service is what you would expect. Low key and relaxed vibe. Sit outside and enjoy the water. Otherwise it's just another average restaurant.
Excellent food and server, Although one host had really bad attitude!
First time there and definitely won't be the last. Adult beverages are great and the food was even better. Our waiter was Sam and he was nice and attentive even though it was a ps led house.
The absolute best food ,drinks and SERVICE!!! Our waiter ((((Isaiah )))) was an AMAZING asset to this restaurant Above and beyond�� My sister in law took me as I'm new to Texas and it was Incredible just a beautiful sunny day with the perfect atmosphere! Already planning next visit.
