A spirited bar is surrounded by a low-lit assortment of tables, opening up onto an extensive patio that lines the sidewalk for open air dining. Bayou cooking dominates the menu, with regional favorites from New Orleans such as beignets for breakfast, muffaletta sandwiches (or the veggie muffaletta) for lunch, and Pan-Fried Pork Chops for dinner. Love Huey's !! Although it was a 40 minute wait, it was to be expected. The weather was amazing outside and a perfect opportunity to watch the boats on the river. 40 minutes went by in no time. The service was impeccable and food delicious.
The shrimp and grits were to die for and the catfish was simply amazing. We went back 2 days in a row as there was no need to go anywhere else.
Excellent food, wonder service, beautiful location. A friend recommended I go here while my son and I were in town and neither of us were disappointed.
The server is great but seems overwhelmed with the amount of table she has so the service declined. The food is good. Had the fried shrimp and oyster....nothing spectacular. The restaurant has a lot of potential so I still recommend if you are mot in a hurry. Love the window seating - Food is OK - Service can be better -

Exceptional food. The beignets were perfect, fluffy and delicious. The eggs Benedict was cooked well and grits were creamy and tasty. Also their chicken and French toast dish is a must have. Would go again!
Been going there over 10 years, we usually stop in on our way from Florida to N.Y. or Va. Beach
