Huey's is oh so wonderful. A great all around experience. Great customer service and Lord the food was awesome!!!! Shrimp and grits and fried green tomatoes are the bomb!!!!!
The staff were friendly and welcoming. The place has a family friendly atmosphere. Try the peach tea cocktail (it isn't tea). I had the jambalaya and found that there was more sauce than I wanted. It did have a generous amount of sausage and chicken. The shrimp weren't as plentiful. It was busy on the Friday night I was there. Many guests seemed to be tourists rather than locals. This is not surprising as both the tourist information centre and my hotel concierge both said it was their first choice for seafood.
A family tradition, when we stay in Savannah: dinner and/or breakfast at HUEY'S ... This place never disappointed us, though we tried others around town (which just never really could compete) ... The food quality is constantly excellent, presentation is lovely, service is mostly great and the location can be beat ... So it was Crawfish Étouffée and Shrimp Creole for dinner and our beloved beignets for breakfast -- again ;-) ... If you want solid value for your money: THIS is the place!

I dream of going back here for Crawfish Etouffee. I visited multiple times my last two trips. Savannah is a lovely place, full of history, beauty and character.
It was good not great. I would have preferred Paula Dean's restaurant but I was with a group that wanted to eat right away.
