This lively spot in the heart of River Street is located on the street level of the River Street Inn. A spirited bar is surrounded by a low-lit assortment of tables, opening up onto an extensive patio that lines the sidewalk for open air dining. Bayou cooking dominates the menu, with regional favorites from New Orleans such as beignets for breakfast, muffaletta sandwiches (or the veggie muffaletta) for lunch, and Pan-Fried Pork Chops for dinner. Don't miss the traditional red beans and rice, which comes with most entrees.

Had the Jambalaya and it was awesome! Michael was a great help as well. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.
Excellent Eggs crab cake Benedict!! The fried green tomato absolutely gives in that extra bit of southern goodness!
Great service and pretty good food, but whatever the hell the city has going on across the street with some "DJ" spinning rap and insulting Outkast and Biggie and harming my ears made the evening terrible. My wife and I couldn't even focus on dinner as the music was so obnoxious. I fell bad for the older patrons and especially the owners of businesses on River St. that they have to deal with this noise. Obviously this insult to music isn't Huey's fault but be prepared if you plan on having an enjoyable evening: call ahead an... read more
The food was absolutely delicious!!! I had the pasta gumbo. It was so good. I would visit here again for sure.
Service was ok. Food was excellent. Good atmosphere. Reasonable priced. Red beans and rice was spot on.
Service was excellent,I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.
Great service , and of course the beignets are a must.
I wouldn't run back. Not on top of their stuff on a busy night. The fried green tomatoes were really good...other then that...eh.
Best French onion soup hands down!!! The fried buttermilk chicken with French toast and siracha syrup was amazing. The server was so kind and the view you can't beat. I would come back to Georgia from Michigan again just for their food. We also had no wait and came for brunch.
