History Established in 2007. Flat Rock's only general store, Peace's Grocery, located at the intersection of W. Blue Ridge Road and Hwy 225, closed in the 1980s after nearly 100 years. The closure left a void in the community. The building sat vacant for several years until Starr Teel and Virginia Spiegner, reopened the store in 1990. Virginia opened her store, The Wrinkled Egg, and Starr began baking in the back room of the store. I had the BEST fish tacos of my life today at Hubba Hubba! Who would have thought a BBQ joint would make such terrifific fish tacos?! The cod was smoked to give it a wonderful depth of flavor and the avocado slaw was amazing!! All of the fresh favors (tomatoes, cilantro, pineapple) were blende d perfectly!! Truly awesome!!!
Best BBQ joint I have ever eaten at. Whenever I have out of town guests this is a MUST GO TO PLACE !!!, I am disappointed with the Vinegar Slaw doesn't have enough tang in it to make me sweat, I love to feel the kick.
Delicious food, friendly service! Great variety of sides, always like to try a different one. Best BBQ around.
Some of the most delicious BBQ I have ever ate, u definitely get your moneys worth the court yard that the dining area is roomy and beautifully decorated
Hubba Hubba Smokehouse is one of our favorite places in the Hendersonville/Flat Rock area! Awesome BBQ with fun venue for outdoor or covered seating ... can't beat it!
