History Established in 2007. Flat Rock's only general store, Peace's Grocery, located at the intersection of W. Blue Ridge Road and Hwy 225, closed in the 1980s after nearly 100 years. The closure left a void in the community. The building sat vacant for several years until Starr Teel and Virginia Spiegner, reopened the store in 1990. Virginia opened her store, The Wrinkled Egg, and Starr began baking in the back room of the store. Great service and definitely the Best BBQ in Hendersonville!
Delicious food, excellent service!! They were very helpful and accommodating to a friend visiting from a Canada, who had dietary restrictions and were very happy to help her find something suitable!! Definitely will be back!
