If I could give them a 0 I would. The tax preparer summit the wrong information to IRS and blamed IRS for their mistake. The card for the Emerald loan did not work and I had to wait three days to receive the loan. They were not consistent on updating me with the proper information and I had to keep checking with them and calling IRS. The representative could not tell me what the problem was and asked me to call IRS. Well, here is my experience with H&R block.. their agent made an error, not submitting proper paperwork for our tax return last year.. As a result, we were fined by IRS for almost $4k and had to pay it out of pocket! We always pay for Peace of Mind insurance with H&R. So, we made a claim and it was denied for no apparent reason... No explanation.. (It took over a year for them to deny our claim.. after multiple phone calls and tons of additional paperwork). This company is a joke.. If there was a zero rating I would give H&R Block a zero rating. I decided to use H&R Block to prepare my taxes for 2019 because I had several types of 1099's and I wanted to make sure my taxes were prepared correctly. Notified me that both my federal and states taxes have been accepted electronically. Come to find out on my own. The state never received anything. Had to mail in my state tax return. Was never notified that it was not sent.
They lied to me when I asked if they could electronically file my taxes without an irs pin and now wont give me my money back.
I have had the worst time ever trying to do my return online. This is the third day trying to get help. Finally some guy I Calif. pops up as my pro and he’s lazy as hell. Keeps implying that due to short hours which of course is due to the virus that he can’t find the time to complete a simple review of MY WORK. It’s a simple return and I wouldn’t have needed this slug but H&R Block’s software is so bad that I can’t get all the problems it created doing the return. I say stay away from these guys. I actually went to the Pine Plaza location on Niagara Falls Blvd and while I loved the woman I worked with that day I've been let down by the company. I filed mid March as soon as I got my w2s. Still haven't seen my tax refund and now as a result I haven't gotten my stimulus check either. I've called my location, tried an 800 number and looked for an online solution with no luck. It's been months now. I learned my lesson and I will never use H&R Block ever again.
Went to Adairsville ga to h&r to have taxes done. First they cost more than our other tax preparers To do our taxes, and our tax status had not changed. Second after we filed ,paid what was owed, we got notification from This office that an addendum had been done and we needed to stop back by office to pick up the paperwork. Had to use a tax pro because the software was not allowing to separate my Florida income versus my Wisconsin income to calculate my Wisconsin taxes refund. I had to explain multiple time what was the issue to the "tax pro", he took 2 weeks for the "tax pro" to finalize my taxes. They came back with a refund of $2215 which sounded great.
