Hello. I am very disappointed with H&R Block software. In April2019, I was buying the software and the sells representative of H&R Block had me change my mind from purchasing a program that retailed for $54.95 to an UPGRADE that would allow me to file my taxes 5 times!!! I explained what I needed and he implied that with his suggestions I could use the software up to five times, and all I needed to do was download the newest version next year. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I didn't even have a chance to speak to someone...I was on hold for over 2 hours...then got disconnected. Waited in the online queue of 20 people...disconnected when I was 3rd in line...that happened 3 times. THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE...forcing customers to wait for hours to change products when it should be easily down online.
I wish I had read the reviews more thoroughly. This place is a hard avoid. The first time I went they were closed during business hours. The second time I was able to get in I dropped my paperwork off on a Saturday and was told my taxes should be done by Sunday. After not hearing any follow up I called Wednesday. Whoever was on the phone said he had no record of me or my taxes and couldn't provide an ETA and hung up on me. H&R Block Customer Service is arrogant, disrespectful and incompetent: I tried to access my H&R Block tax return account I had used for 2018 return. It kept not recognizing my Username and Password no matter what I tried. H&R Customer Service was no help. It took over 50 minutes of being on hold to get representative and the consultant could not solve the problem even after an hour of trying. False, deceptive and misleading market practices after making an in house appointment, when advertised on line and with a confirmation email, to be refused entry in person
Worst company ever!! NEVER FILE YOUR TAXES WITH THEM!!!!!!!!!! Its nearly impossible to talk to a human. I was on hold for hours and no one responded. Online chat is a run around and waste of time. Their hold music is terrible, they call themselves charming????? I paid my taxes, they said wait 5-7days for payment to be posted, two weeks later and nothing.
H&R Block gave me no option except for receive my refund as their Mastercard, which required me to give even more personal info, and it came with tons and tons of fine print .. so I put it aside. When I got back to it, there was ZERO MONEY on the card. So... they gave me a chore I didn't want, plus a massive headache, then robbed me of my paltry refund to boot. Hope they choke on it.
I will not be using them again. I get the feeling they don't know what they are doing and one gets the feeling that the tax return they did was incorrect. Too many inconsistencies in what they do.
H&R Block has successfully filed my taxes in the past. As a military family, we move a lot and find it easier to hire a service. I gave them two stars because they CAN file taxes and have made a name for themselves as a tax filing service that CAN get things done quickly and correctly. However, as 'experts' in a military town, the accountant omitted vital information that resulted in a penalty. H&R Block is not honoring their 100% guarantee.
