I had orginally filed my taxes with h and r block in February 2022. I have claim my income and 3 children. I did not receive the covid stimulus check on 2 of my children which was stated on the original filing. I was never told that I needed to claim that on my taxes. After later finding out I needed to claim that on my taxes I went back in March of 2022 and and they filed an amended tax return to receive the **** that I had missed out on. I thought all was well. Paid extra for the No Surprises Guarantee. Got surprised by a ******* dollars misfile because my "Tax-Pro" doesn't understand the tax laws. 4 months of working with their review team and they stopped taking my calls and won't even email. Thought the company was high end, but they run things like a fly-by-night entity. Sad..............................

Tax Identity Shield from H&R Block- This was NOT something I elected to pay for or add on when filing my 2021 taxes. I had to pay before I could review my taxes. There was NO itemized breakdown of what I was paying for, just pay this amount. I have called the local office (that was suggested after I called the Tax Identity Shield phone number) but still have not had a return call. I filed my taxes and the tax preparer didn't mention that I had some type of hold on my taxes that was placed there by my employer. I filed 2 years straight and this year I decided to get back in the habit of doing my own again. That's how I found this omitted information. I was wondering why I haven't received any refunds in the last 3 years.

This is an absolute SCAM fronting as a legit business. I am am an independent contractor as an artist, in addition to have a regular day job to help pay my bills. I had worked in multiple states over the course of the tax year and I was feeling lost and a little overwhelmed with my taxes. I turned to H&R block to attempt to get help and make things easier for me. I chose to do entirely virtual filing, as my schedule is too wild to sit down with someone. First of all, H&R Block is very difficult to contact about any concerns you may have. You will not be able to talk or chat with them. I've used H&R Block for years but that will end. For 2021 the tax software did not import my complete Federal income info into the ******** State forms. So my state paid me an excessive refund which I tried to get rectified through H&R Block. Sad. *************** . horrible service and lied to . Had all tax info to them feb 5 didn' t bother to do my filings . ya they found my info and filed it may 13 . O'boy and also told me there shouldn't be a later penalty , knowing full well that's BS . This is what 1325$ get's you P.S. the irs billed me for 630$ . call H&R district super said they'd reimburse me . More BS and lies . wrote letters to corp , typical nothing . Don't expect anything from them . FYI this the ********, ******* offices . One star is being generous.

So, my mother passed last year(2021). I had to file a tax return on her behalf, her last one. Everything went smoothly. Great representative of the company. I have no issues with her or my visit.What bothers me is that I got an email today, July 28th 2022, stating my mother should stay up on next years tax return. Well she is dead and will not be needing a tax return. Your company should not do that to people. I dont even want to put a star. The ***** block in mooresville indiana *********************** is the worst. We gave her our taxes as a drop off 4 weeks prior to the deadline and I kept trying to contact w no luck to find out what is going on w our taxes and why they were being filed so late. I had left several voicemails and emails and nothing back in return. Now due to her filing late of course we have penalties and she only gave us a 50 decrease of paying her to do our taxes.
