They charged $90 ahead of time for nye tickets, and now are charging only $50 at the door. I asked the manager if he'd be willing to compensate with at least a free drink and two and was told no. It's about the principle, not the money. It was my first time here and I'll definitely never be back.

We went there 12-26-2016 for my birthday drinks, and to escape the extreme Chicago's cold. The lady server billed us incorrectly. Instead of the small cider and beer we ordered, she billed us for large sizes. We would not have known because she didn't give us a receipt. We asked for one coz we wondered why our bill is high compared to our actual orders. She finally give us a receipt and that's when we found out the error. We complained and she refunded us our money. We really enjoyed Howells and Hood. I had the steak tacos and they were delicious. Service was very good and really like the selections of beer and the chill atmosphere.
Very friendly staff and great food and drinks. Very nice atmosphere. We will go back!!
