About this business

The whimsical name alone should attract customers. Howe's Bayou is a restaurant from the owners of Tom's Oyster Bar, emphasizing a Cajun atmosphere and menu to supplement the oysters and seafood. Cajun entrees include Gumbo, okra, Crawfish Etouffee' and Shrimp Etouffee'. Besides great wines and bottled beers, the bar offers a choice of bourbons and appropriate mixed drinks such as Mint Juleps. You can even get a Chocolate Brownie Sundae with melting chocolate for dessert.

Moved here from Louisiana, didn't disappoint, great flavor. Loved the Shrimp over dirty rice.

As always, Howe's Bayou delivered fantastic food, wonderful service and the kind of ambiance you'd expect from a place with "Laissez les bon temps roulez" inscribed above the bar. This is one of my favorite restaurants.

It tasted like it was very old. I had to douse it in hot sauce just too be able to eat it. The fish was not fresh and very fishy tasting and was paper thin, barely any meat. My dining partner ordered a side that was f... read more
