Great fun for the whole family from baby to toddlers to grandparents! Only recommendation is come as early as possible bc afternoon has many visitors.
I have been wanting to make the trip up from CT for a few years now. We went on a super hot day to get full enjoyment of the natural ac. Caves were cool, but a bit lack luster (just due to the Disney-izing of everything). This place still has a ton of charm though. Kids enjoyed the gem mining and it was a good value. Because of the heat the High Adventure was closed, but my oldest did enjoy rolling down the hill in the H2O go ball! I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality and value of the food in the cafe. It was really cool inside the caves but the tour moved so fast that you couldn't stop to look at anything or take pictures. I felt like they were rushing us during the whole tour. If you pay your money I think you should be able to not be rushed and not be rushed when taking pictures. The lady told us 2 hour wait in line but the wait was more like 1 hour in line.
Great escape from summer heat wave. Great tour guide. Fun for whole family
Must see capital region natural wonder. I was impressed with the overall presentation of the attraction, from the adorable animated intro video to the easily walkable Caverns below. Our tour guide’s voice didn’t really carry, but we enjoyed ourselves and made up our own names for the rock formations. My favorite part was the winding narrow passage at the end. Gift shop was reasonably priced and well stocked. The mostly teenage staff were pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable. Bring a picnic, come super early or later afternoo... read more
Great place to visit.... the boat ride inside the cave was a really nice surprise 😍
We had a lovely guide (Autumn) and we did not feel rushed. We brought our daughter and her best friend for their first cave experience. ( My husband and I had been 20 yrs ago.) They LOVED it! We found the staff friendly and knowledgeable. We were pleasantly surprised when the wait wasn't as long as expected. We also loved that, if one person holds your place in line, the others can take turns walking around or visiting the gift shop.
Great place!
1st time there & we really liked it. Did the cave tour early on so we had the rest of the day to do gem mining, ropes, zip line & water ball. Stayed over at the hotel, which was nice as well.
