I haven't met Dr. Howard in person.. but I must say that his knowledge about orthopedics is just too good... His articles are well written .. .. Just one advice, it would be helpful if you add the message now button to this page... You could be of great help to someone overseas in this way...
I've been a dancer pretty much all my life. Last year I tore my ACL playing soccer. A complete tear. First doc I consulted only mentioned the surgery option. Not once did he mention physical therapy. I got a second opinion from dr Luks and he suggested a conservative approach of physical therapy based on my lifestyle. Well I didn't PT twice a week plus continued to add more intensity to my exercises. This month So far I've gone back to intense dance classes and happy to say my knee is doing fantastic !!!!
