I have been going to Dr. Luks for many years. He's done several orthopedic procedures, including several surgeries, and he is one of the most skilled, compassionate physicians I've ever had the pleasure of being a patient of. I will continue to see him in the future as I trust him in his expertise and skills.
RecommendedDr. Luks is a rare breed of doctor you simply do not encounter anymore. He is extremely knowledgeable and current with all options available in the field. I had my knee basically wrecked at work, he always was very thorough in his explanation of what the whole process would be he never rushed me into any surgery, when PT failed he discussed the surgical option and what to expect. Dr Luks is awesome! I worked in the same hospital he performed surgery in (as a therapist) and treated his patients which led me to choose him when I needed surgery on my knee. Always ask the OTs & PTs who the best Orthopedics are!
I will always be grateful for Dr. Luks. He performed a bucket handle meniscus repair on me, last July. Had I not been lucky enough to have his skills, my meniscus would have likely been removed and I would not be running . More than that, he is a genuinely nice man who cares about you, remembers you, etc. My only fear is suffering another knee injury in years to come and Dr Luks is retired.

Went to Dr Luks for a second opinion concerning knee arthritis and meniscus damage. He spent 20 minutes explaining my mri and why I need not stop running. He also helped me formulate a new training plan. Dr Luks is the go to guy for runners. Don’t let a non running doctor give you canned advice about your body and joints. Go to someone who understands and cares. Dr. Luks is awesome!
Dr. Luks is very caring and helpful. He's not the typical Dr who wants to prescribe scripts to band-aid the issues. I highly recommend him.
He's passionate about the health of his patients, and his social media followers. He prefers science and data (as all doctors should but many don't) over personal biases and economic incentives. I have only engaged with him through Social Media, but he spends an inordinate amount of time feeding his followers with a roadmap to becoming healthy, particularly for those ages 40 and up.
