A Dr is only as good as his office staff. Dr Gelb seems like a good Ortho. However, I would rather hobble around on one leg (knee injury) than deal with the witches in the front office here, who have yet to join the 21st century or learn how to effectively help patients or treat people with kindness. staff. The office is significantly disorganized. One of his staff members stated to me "I don't do paperwork". The compassion, understanding and information provided by Dr. Gelb and his staff is next to none. They are there to provide superior medical care and they do just that. I have complete faith in the care provided both now and in the future.
I had seen Dr. Gelb after I had a torn rotator cuff, that he was able to repair thru surgery. Dr. Gelb’s in house physical therapy team was fantastic. I was able to get my full range of motion after 2 months, and after 6 months, I am fully recovered with no pain at all. Thanks to Dr. Gelb and his complete staff, the office was pleasant, the physical therapist’s were knowledgeable, and of course Dr. Gelb is a very experienced surgeon.

I needed to have Dr Gelb write a letter for my attorney to send to the insurance company. As always Dr Gelb listened to my problems and concerns and will address them properly.
Dr. Gelb knew immediately what my problem was and offered options. He recommended a pain management doctor as a next step for treatment.
This is a great office; the attached physical therapy group is very convenient, and the overall atmosphere exudes professionalism and competence, yet the camaraderie of the entire team is jovial and accommodating. As for Dr. Gelb, I don’t believe you’ll find a more caring, thorough and highly skilled orthopedic surgeon who’s clearly at the top of his field. I’m very appreciative of the outcomes of my various orthopedic surgeries over the years. Excellence all around.
