My experience through Howard Hanna Real Estate was not painless and easy! We agreed that I would pay $195,000 for the house, including all expenses. I paid $1000 as a deposit, then after a while the rest of the amount. We paid the money and received the house in July 2023. But according to the documents prepared by Howard Hannas company, the payment was $196,544.50. We had ********************* from HOWARD HANNA as our realtor when selling and buying our house. Unfortunately, she had no plan on selling our house and in my opinion it was under-sold.When we wanted to look at houses to buy most of the time she was unavailable. The house we did end up purchasing, she was also not available. When we finally were able to put in an offer, we were forced into a bidding war. We bought our home in June of 2021. When we first look at the place before putting a offer in and it was as expected. We were 2 hrs away so when we started the paperwork we did everything that we could on our end. We were going to do a home inspection but was told it was done in May 2021 of a different buyer but they back out. Now I know why they did. I had my house listed with Howard Hanna and the interest was zero. Had to end up auctioning my house. When I said I was not listing my house again, no one ever called again.. no interest whatsoever.

Tried to put in for a first-time home loan. Worst experience of my life. I had to follow up several times with the lender. Then I got a simple "we cannot approve you at this time" without asking me about anything. I asked for a reason and got no response. I'm glad I didn't use this company because I'm now using a company that actually responds to me and am on my way to purchasing my first home from another lender!

Horrible experience. The agent they gave me knew nothing about the house. The listing was mostly a lie. And when you call to ask questions they hang up on you. Been hung up on now 5 to 6 times in one day. Even worse they blame you for them not doing their job. I hope someone can fix that company. They gave me a deadline then they did not stick to it. Gave me hell when I wanted to pull the money back because they broke the contract that was signed. Then it still took an extra month for them to even contact me. I even had to c... read more

Howard Hannah's office in Port Clinton Ohio sells flipped houses that have electrical work that is done off permit and under code by unlicensed individuals. We recently purchased a house through HH which had such problems. When we had the permits and inspection office for the city come out and inspect the problem they identified that this is a common problem they have identified with this specific seller who uses her boyfriend as the electrician. My apartment was owned and managed by a private landowner's son before the property was sold to Howard Hanna. In a year's time, they have raised the rent for the first time in 8 years of living here, have done no groundskeeping, and require you to sign up for their portal to put in remote maintenance requests, and if you don't do that, the property manager will not even give you the time of day.
