Very friendly treatment – I came across House of Brides through my sister's wedding when ordering our bridesmaids dress here, and I ended up coming back for my wedding dress since we had such a great experience with Maggie. I actually got two dresses here, one for Ceremony and a second for Reception. I've been wanting to do this when I got engaged, but was unsure if I can afford it, but Maggie made it possible. Great price – I got a great price on my dress, which made it all worth my while. (Watch out for a "delivery" charge.) I had to follow up a few times to find out if the dress had come in but it still arrived three months before my wedding day. My dress fit me perfectly, so I'm not sure why other people are complaining. Most wedding dresses need to be altered in some way and it's always an extra charge. I went through the ultimate wedding dress saga, and Maggie became the hero of my story. After being ignored by one bridal shop, having David's Bridal mail me the wrong colored bolero, and getting in to a yelling match with another bridal salon because I wanted to call the company that makes my dress and find out what colors my dress comes in, I went into House of Brides desperate and in a panic to order my dream dress! More than adequate – I was sent to House of Brides by my cousin. My wedding came about on a short notice, and knew I wouldn't be able to order one in time through 'traditional' well known bridal shops (one of which, David Bridal, never called me back when I tried scheduling an appointment). She had also needed to find her dress 'off the rack,' and said this place had quite the selection for being such a small shop, and were reasonably priced compared to other shops. Stay away!!! TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!! – This place is just one word--TERRIBLE!!!!!!! This salon looks so crappy from outside but I went in anyway. I found this place from a designers website and I already knew what kind of dresses I like. I asked owner Maggie if she have the ones I like, she said she doesnt know and she told me look around by myself...dresses are not organized by brands and I had to look every dress to find..that was still ok but I had to try on the dresses by myself!!!!!! Everything You Need.....Maggie can do anything! – House of Brides was the first shop I made an appt. with to shop for a wedding dress. There was no need to go any where else. I found the perfect dress at a good price. Maggie, is very sweet, patient, and experienced. I bought a designer dress from her at a very good price. She altered my dress because the waist was too big. EASY – I had a great experience here. Unlike other dress shops, you can look freely around the store and it's very casual. There aren't any salespeople breathing down your neck and trying to upsell you. Maggie is very nice and works with your needs. Prices are very reasonable and there is a ton of variety. Yes, the store is small and there is a small fitting room, but I liked it better than the stuffy dress shops that right you off if you don't have a large budget. This place was TERRIBLE. I had an appointment, and was completely ignored by the two owners. The curtains hardly closed on the corner dressing room, and I had to put all of the dresses on myself - no help. They had RIPPED TAGS out of some of their dresses. This means that they are MOST LIKELY selling KNOCK OFFS. I found one that I liked and repeatedly asked what the designer or brand was. He kept saying "I find out for you." Don't go if you want service or a gown that doesn't look che – Wow! Where to begin. I was completely ignored until 45 mins past my appointment time, my fabulous bridesmaid interupted her to tell her we were there. She refused to help me look for dresses and almost denied me trying on one I had tried on before and liked because she viewed it as pointless. I even found a dress made of 100% polyester. Need I say more!
