This place was so pretty. We did the tour, strolled through the gardens, and had lunch - which was amazing!
This should be a place to rest your brain and be glad that you found it what a great time and people.
Visiting from Germany Houmas House is definitely worth seeing. The garden is amazing and the food is great. Our tour guide was very entertaining.

RecommendedIt is a beautiful, well maintain plantation. We toured the main house and the grounds and gardens. We had a fabulous lunch while there. It is well worth the trip from New Orleans.
We had an awesome time there for our Anniversary. We stayed at their inn and had dinner at the Carriage House. The food and wine was really good. Would definitely love to do it again.
The plantation home is beautiful and the tour guide was personable and informative. The gardens are exquisite!
The grounds were breathtakingly beautiful! Those live oaks just fascinated me. The house tour was longer than most, taking us through more rooms than you usually would see. A beautiful setting for the movie "Hush hush sweet Charlotte" (Now I have to see the movie). I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone, especially those who love history.
