I absolutely adore this hotel! It was such a homey and personable few days that we spent there. The staff is quirky, fun, polite, and so accommodating. Love the balcony rooms. I will DEFINITELY be staying here again.
If you want the architecture, cleanlyness, freindliest hotel in New Orleans thats right in the heart of the city, this place is the best their is!
We were hunkered down here to escape Hurricane Irma and what a wonderful place to get "stuck" in! Words cannot express how much I adored this little hotel!! Incredible staff (especially Emily!!), Perfect location, awesome ambiance, truly the total package! This place has made lifelong, return guests out of us!!
I think the common theme of everyone's reviews is, friendly staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Loved the hotel. Like much of New Orleans, it is well worn and has it's flaws. I could see some people not finding the charm in it, but it definitely did not detract from our experience. We had our wedding on the balcony and will definitely be back for occasional anniversary trips! I would definitely recommend it!
Loved everything about this hotel. The history, the old feel. Built in 1805 but the elevator still works! I'm on the 2nd floor looking out onto Ursilines. Great location, very walkable area and if u have a car they have a parking garage. It's in Frenchman St, and a little bit of a walk but the area is very walkable and near the marketplace/flea market
Hotel Villa Convento has always been our Home away from Home when in New Orleans! The owners and staff have never failed to go out of their way to make our stay feel like you are right where you need to be, always well taken care of here. Everything you'd need while staying in The French Quarter or if going anywhere out in The CBD is literally right around the corner from the front door! Our Big Easy Hideout, no doubts about it!
Amazing friendly staff! Rooms were clean and stocked with everything you need. We were able to check in early with no problem. Definitely recommend a room with balcony.
