Convient location in North Beach. Well maintained, charming historic hotel.
We loved this hotel. The focus here is on good beds, comfortable, clean and stylish rooms, and location location location! Right in the heart of North Beach with live music all around, and Stella Bakery downstairs. Do yourself a favor and eat dinner at Sodini's while you are there.
Great hotel! Wonderful location, North Beach, unique San Francisco experience. Rooms are small (but that is to be expected), decor is unique and funky, everything is retro, or ironically retro, still the bed is very, very comfortable, as are the other amenities. All around it, great very special restaurants and cafes and shops. Walking distance to Teatro Fugazzi. Free cream sherry in the evening. Loved my stay there.

After a long flight, this hotel was just what the Doctor ordered. Clean and cute. Our room overlooked Columbus Avenue. From a window table we enjoyed complimentary cream sherry with our fresh cannoli. A block from Washington Square Park and views of Coit Tower, Transamerica Pyramid, St. Peter & Paul's. The hotel recommended Sotto Marre for dinner and it was fantastic. Go early because there is a line. You can wait next door at Columbus Cafe and have an awesome fresh squeezed greyhound. Just wonderful.
Great location but the downside of that was if you are overlooking Main Street a little noisy ... No tea making facilities and no good if you don't like stairs as no lift ... But they do mention this anyway so knew before hand . Very helpful staff and a lovely feel about the place not soulless as often the big chains
