Hose Company No. 6, is an establishment which accommodates people with an affection for great food and libation. A landmark built in 1895 as a fire station that housed firemen, horses and the now obsolete hose wagons. In 1975 Donald Wilks converted the deteriorating old fire station into a restaurant. Love, love, love it. We had the seafood and everything was excellent! Huge steamers! Calamari was awesome! Our waitress was awesome. Great, friendly, nice, and funny woman. I will deff be back every time I'm in R.I.
This is a great family run restaurant.
Awful service-waited 20 minutes to flag down a server only to be told we were not her table. Server finally came over. Had to ask for a glass of water 6 times before I saw it.. Awful seafood. Shrimp cocktail room temperature and hadn't seen refrigeration in a while, salad was from a bag, brown and had seen better days. Baked stuffed shrimp burnt with no flavor in the stuffing. Shrimp scamp doused in garlic. Couldn't tell if the shrimp were safe to eat.
Saw this restaurant on phantom gourmets website and since we were in the area, gave it a try. Ordered something simple, salad, soup and burgers. Nothing special to rave about salad and soup....when our buegers came out they were charred. Not a fan. Bartender was great though. No complaints on service at all.

Ordered take out sandwiches today and was awful, chicken burnt/dried up and cheese was off bun, just a sloppy mess, usually better than this , called and just said will tell
