Awesome beer food and service!! – We love Hopworks. We've been a few times and the beer is absolutely incredible. Definitely one of the best brewpubs in Portland. The food is great as well (try the calzones!). Service is great. It's so refreshing to have water and beer refills taken care of without having to think about it or flag someone down. We love this place!

Beer good, Food good, very busy and parking was a pain – In short, this place is suffering from it's popularity. You need to get there early to get a parking spot even though there is quite a lot of spaces altogether. The joint was packed and it did take around 30mins before my Olive Garden style vibrator went off to tell me my table was ready. Although I'd asked for outside seating I found that wasn't going to happen and I was show to a (tight) booth. There was barely room for the 4 of us (and we're all average size peeps).... read more

Best burger in portland. TRUST ME!!!! – Been to hopworks twice now. This time I ordered the burger and it was amazing. The beef was seasoned to perfection and all around it was perfect. The fries/jojo's are sooooo good as well. Not sure about the reviews about the bad service because our waiter Peter gave us great service. It is very busy and we had to wait but we had a beer while we waited and it went by fast. I am very picky when I dine out especially about burgers and it was to die for. : )

Food, beer and service (Lauren) is AWESOME! – I've been to Hopworks twice now and both times were awesome! I've tried three of the beer and have liked them all. Pizza was good too. The service was great as Lauren as our waitress. There is a kids play area, I thought was nice touch. I like the recyclable in use item through out the place also. Have you seen the bathroom!?!?! Clean and cute! Beer and Bikes! I love it! Cristian brewed a great beer and made a fun place to hang out on a Sunday afternoon.

very poor service – Friends and I visited HUB last night and experienced terrible service. First, my husband ordered a beer and was served the wrong one. The waitress was argumentative when told it was incorrect instead of just accepting responsibility and moving on. Wait there's more...we ordered our pizza and I ordered a salad. I'm told the pizza was good but I never received my salad. After reminding the waitress of my salad order, and being told it would only be 2 minutes longer, it never arrived. My friends finished the... read more

Good Family Fun & Eats – We were hesitant to check this place out because of its address but we were pleasantly surprised starting with the parking lot and continueing right through the meal. Our waiter (The UC Santa Cruz Slug) was very attentive to our dining needs and even brought pizza dough out to our 3 yr old to keep her entertained. My husband and I both believe this is the first enjoyable meal out we have had since having children. The beer and pizza were great. We do agree that things were abit expensive however fres... read more

Excellent space, everything else pretty average – And lo, gentification finally comes unto scruffy low rent SE Powell, in the form of this shiny new eco-brewpub. The outside and inside of this place is very impressive - I would have thought it was impossible to open a new resturant inside 39th with this much air light and sheer square footage. It's a terrifc, family friendly space. However once you sit down things get pretty average in a hurry. Spotty, confused service, so-so food (slightly overpriced) and a very limited bee... read more

High prices – Cool space, calzones looked good. Portoburger was really boring and $9. Great french fries though. My daughter had the Happy Plate, which had some cheese, 2 carrots, 2 pieces of cucumber and about 2 tablespoons of humus for $4.75. Total rip off. Kids play space is great. Might return and split a calzone, but the kid's meal we ordered was seriously a joke for $4.75.
