Hopworks Urban Brewery was the first Eco-brewpub to be established in the city of Portland, and was soon followed by its second location, Hopworks BikeBar. This sustainable brewpub has some great organic beers on offer, among which the HUB Lager is a favorite. If you're hungry, there's a full menu of burgers, sandwiches, pizzas and more to enjoy. There are numerous vegan and gluten-free offerings as well for those with dietary restrictions.

Wow! It was a pretty bad experience! – We've been here before and it has been okay. However, tonight I've decided that we will never go back again. We waited for almost an hour to be seated and the service was so bad. My 7 year old was the last to get his food (to be fair they brought out the wrong food for him the first time and had to go back and make what we really ordered!). Still not "The Place" – Lets review some... Back when Christian E. was brewing beer at Laurelwood, I can remember thinking that Mike was going to loose this young brewer to someone with vision, or Christian would strike out on his own. I couldn't imagine a talent like that paired with the poor service and sub-quality food delivered at the Laurelwood public house. Great Food, Great atmosphere!!! – Best food on this section of Powell.. the greek salad is my most favorite. Everything is organic, beer is great. Its trendy and SO not trashy like so many other bars on Powell. It attracts great customers, they play funky music, and its cozy. Although the service is a little slow, this place is still FAIRLY new so i give them the benefit of the doubt.
TERRIBLE..TERRIBLE..SERVICE – Well me and some friends decided to go to hopworks today what a bad idea. First we were seated and then proceeded to wait for our server which by the way never came. I had to actually find her and ask her to come to our table to take our drink order. Then she finally eventually came and took our food order 20 minutes later . Fantastic Pizza, Great Beers, "The Submarine Room" – Hop Works is dope. The beers are above average, the food is pretty dang good ( I had a pizza & the Hummus plate, fries are rad, burgers & chicken sandwiches looked real good!) Offensively long wait times for service at Hopworks – Today was my third visit to Hopworks, and my last. Every time I've had the same experience: hostess seats us, AND WE WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT. Apparently the hostess can't take a drink order, and the servers are veeeeeeeery slow. This was Saturday afternoon about 2:30 p.m., place wasn't crowded, lots of empty tables, two employees sitting and talking near the entrance. One of the best – Portland is the home of local breweries and I've been to a few and I definately think Hopworks is one of the best so far. The beer is great and the food is reasonably priced and they have a great selection to fit a lot of tastes. I got the Portland Bella burger and it was delicious! The fries are great too! I've been raving about them ever since. The outdoor seating in the back is great in the summer time. Awesome food/beer, great for parties! – I brought a large group (30+ people) to Hopworks for a photography meeting last night. We were all raving about it afterwards. Our waitress, Brianna, remembered names (wow), kept everyone in beer and food, was polite and smiling the whole time, and split checks for us without concern. BAD EXPERIENCE – My family and I, 8 people, went for dinner last night,saturday. We got there at 5:10pm and weren't seated until 6:30. The host and hostess kept taking smaller parties , never thinking to put 2 tables together. We asked them several times but finally had to sit at 2 seperate tables across the room from each other.
