Dr Klein is Brooklyn's Best Veterinarian – Everyone at this office is so incredibly knowledgeable, professional, loving and kind; especially Dr. Klein. I feel so blessed to have them caring for my Bulldog, Martha. The staff at Hope has helped keep Martha healthy for 3 and 1/2 years. Hope Vet improved the quality of my pets' lives – Hope Vet are one of the best things in Brooklyn, ever. They accommodate, they are thorough and they DO NOT do unnecessary tests etc if your pet doesn't need them. My experience is that they don't just throw drugs at a problem. LOVE!! Hope Vet is truly amazing. – LOVE!! I have been taking my cats and dogs to Hope Vet since it opened 9+ years ago. My animal family has grown considerably over the years, so I have been at Hope for many, many visits. Every single time has been a pleasant experience. Extremely disappointing – I have used this practice in the past. I informed the vet tech that I had given my cat a valium to keep her calm and the tech walked away from the table, allowing my cat to fall off. After that two techs held my cat down to take her blood. It took over 20mins and my cat was creaming so loudly other staff cam into the room to check what was happening. After this horrible experience I called the clinic to ask if I could buy a over the counter supplement for my dog and they refused to sell it to me w/o... read more
Used to be a good Place....:-( – I think this practice grew beyond it's limits and is servicing too many clients. I used to go to Hope Vet and Dr Young was so caring and helpful. The wait was a little long like a half hour, but I knew I was going to get good care and attention for my pets. Kelly is gruff but that's a real New Yorker - just be nice to her and her icy layer melts instantly. The problem here is now is the whole experience deteriorated. uncompassionate & unprofessional – Hope Vet is not about the pets. They are all about the money. And Kelly that works there is very very NASTY.
Compassionate and professional – I'm very surprised that many people have apparently have bad experiences with Hope Vet - we've had only great experiences (except with one vet who's no longer there), including one phenomenal one that I'll explain at the end of my review. We've found the front desk staff to be friendly and professional. We always make appts with Dr. Young, who is a co-owner of the vet. She's great, patient, and answers all our questions in detail. Terrible – Its taken me a while to write this review, but the distaste I feel for this place will not subside. I can't understand why the vets let the front desk act as they do; they are so rude and heartless to the humans involved in the process. Veterinary care is adequate, though they won't admit that they don't know everything and refer to a specialist. I will NEVER go back to this place. I understand there is a new vet practice closeby that was started by two of the former Hope vets; hopefully Hope will wake up now.
Terrible Place – This is just an awful place. From the minute you walk in the door, you have to deal with a rude, disorganized front desk. The vets are adequate, but holistic... I think not. The vet follow-thru is terrible. The technicians can't seem to get the information I need straight. I can't think of one positive thing to say about this place. There's no compassion here -- hello, we're acting on behalf of beings that we love!!! Save yourself some heartache, and go elsewhere.
