Staff was super friendly and helpful, the property was clean, and the rooms were very comfortable. The only complaint we have is the breakfast. Most of it was tasteless. there was no bacon and the eggs were dense and watery. Besides that, our stay was great.
We stayed here for one night for my son’s wrestling tournament in Birmingham. Overall, the experience was below average. There is no direct entrance from the parking lot; instead, you have to walk down a strange alley to access the building. When we finally got inside, the lobby and the elevators reeked of marijuana. We were unable to get into our room because the door’s locking mechanism was broken and wouldn’t accept any key cards, despite being issued several replacements. WORST HOTEL CHAIN IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!! HORRIBLE TO CONTACT BY PHONE!!! HORRIBLE TO TRY AND BOOK A ROOM !!! YOU'D BETTER KNOW 5 LANGUAGES AND LISTEN TO 50 PROMPTS
If possible, I would give more. The modern decor, amenities of the pool, continental breakfast, and proximity to the Birmingham scene made our stay one of the best. We met our son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren at this beautiful spot. This was an amazing trip thanks to Suites by Hilton Homewood of Birmingham, AL.
Let’s just say… I don’t write reviews ever but I had to this time. I was having a hell of a trip (I.e. flights cancelled, re-booking hotels, trying to get refunds, btw Expedia sucks) ANYWAYS I was explaining to the staff my situation and how I was literally at my wits with trying to receive a refund (which is a lot of money for a broke student).
