My name is Edward and I am a client with Homewatch. I have mild autism and need help doing some stuff by myself like cooking and cleaning plus I dont know how to drive. My care givers are Jocelynn and Melissa and they are both real good to me. They help me to cook and clean my appartment and they even drive me to places like my friends house and the park and the doctors and church. I can do a lot of stuff on my own but I do need help with other things and that's why I'm so happy I have Jocelynn and Melissa and Homewatch.
I want to give a shout out to Brittany, our caretaker from Homewatch. Brittany works with my mom who has dementia pretty bad, and I couldnt be happier with her. She has helped my mm so much, especially as her dementia is getting worse. My mom forgets to take her medications and even forgets to eat. She is almost like a little kid. My mom uses a walker and cant get around very well, so I started looking at nursing homes. Then I learned about Homewatch and what they do, so I called them. They send caretakers to my moms house to help her cook, clean, and take a shower. They also drive her around wherever she needs to go. As a result, she is much happier than she would b if she had to move out and into a nursing home. My moms caretakers name is Nancy, and she is doing an excellent job with my mom. Instead of a nursning home, I would recommend Homewatch
Homewatch helps takes care of my son who is autistic. They only work with him 5 hours a week, but I have been very impressed with there caregivers so far. Kelly, my primary caregiver, obviously has a lot of experience working with autistic kids, and works very well with my son. They hit it off the minute they met, and now the two are practically inseperable.
Thanks to Homewatch Caregivers, I have been able to keep a committment to myself and my wife that she would remain at home during her long illness. I highly recommend this company for anybody that has in-home needs. I was running myself into the dirt trying to care for my young children and aging parents. I was losing control of my life and Homewatch Caregivers stepped in and saved me. My parents are now at home were they want to be and I feel like they are safe and cared for.
