I had the catfish and it was very good. The hush puppies were a little hot for me but in all fairness, I have a very low threshold for heat. I would highly recommend the fried pie with ice cream.
Good home cookin'! Generous portions, reasonable prices and fast service. I like the chicken fried steak, purple hull peas and mac 'n cheese. The fried catfish, onion rings and jalapeño corn muffins are great too!
Our first time to Homers West. Good food and service and location. We enjoyed it. I'm just partial to the other location. But it's in a crummy neighborhood and has lousy hours. But at least I can get my Homers "fix" on weekends by heading West young man!
The food was great and the service was excellent will be going back soon
