Poor Customer Service I should start by saying that I have been buying cakes at The Home Bakery for years, but this will be my last. The cake is usually above average, but the customer service is the worst! I would have given ZERO stars but that was not an option. I ordered a cake three months in advance of a birthday party. Most beautiful wedding cake!! Ordered my wedding cake a few weeks ago and it took my breath away! I had so many compliments! It was all done out of buttercream and had fresh strawberries inside. Delicious and Amazing!! Picked up a cake last weekend and it was AMAZING! The design was perfect and the fresh fruit inside was incredible! You guys are awesome! Awful Service @ Home Bakery Cakes Awful customer service, forgot to deliver part of the order (which was party favors for children at the party), waited for a call for week after they said they would call, upon me calling them back - just got ruthless service. Manager Stephanie wouldn't get on the phone - had to call twice for my refund for cupcakes. NOT THE SAME OLD PLACE The old owners were so very nice, and they had a fantastic tasing home-made cake. They use to donate their week-end left over baked goods to the soup kitchen. The new cakes have an animal fat lard taste to them, in my opinion. The frosting from what I hear is not made with real butter, and when we purchased the cake recently, the center frosting was thin, so why the high price? Unsatisfied Customer I went to the Home Bakery several days ago to try some of their pastries. I had read some of the reviews and even though I heard that they were less than satisfactory from friends who have gone there before I figured I would give it a try. I found that the chocolate chip cookies were hard and tasted like they were several days old and stale and the jelly filling in the danish tasted like it came out of a bag. Home Bakery is THE BEST!! Home Bakery did my baby shower cake and it was both beautiful AND delicious!! Their buttercream is amazing and the cake is so moist it melts in your mouth. They went above and beyond to make me an edible baby pig to top the cake and it came out better than I could have imagined. The cake was the talk of the baby shower. I highly recommend Home Bakery for your next special event!
Will make custom cakes We ordered a custom cake for a party last year. It was a moderately complicated cake as we wanted two flavors and a specific decoration. The Home Bakery did a great job as the cake was completed and delivered on time. It tasted fresh, and was decorated exactly as requested. Their prices are not the cheapest around, but they are very reasonable and well worth every penny.
