Doesn't like how lender staff handle their job. Really slow! And scaring client not to close their transaction for the minutes. Not cool!
More of the same - this company is all about fees and milking the deal for all the money they can. They will fee you to fully absorb all of the incentive and charge excessively for origination points. I paid nearly 3% origination for a loan that I could have gotten on the market for no points. They also ask for excessive documentation intentionally. They wanted many documents that were not relative to the deal and made me play games with the closing costs. I agree with all of the negative reviews! Stressful, disappointing, incompetent and more. Wow! Find your own finance company! The upset is not worth it.
RUN!! These people are completely incompetent and failures. We have been in contract and several days before we are scheduled to close, they are saying we will not get funding from them without any reasons. They’ve asked us for irrelevant documents, then losing the documents…and asking for them again. They have no idea what they are doing. All along they’ve said all is good and then days before closing…suddenly no. We’ve purchased NOTHIING, opened no new credit. This places is a freaking nightmare
Horrible company to work with. Had a rate lock which expired on a new home construction which took longer than expected. In the mean time, rates declined, but Home American Mortgage insisted they would only fund the higher rate well after the rate lock had expired and wouldn't even consider reducing the rate at all. Kept stating it was their policy to only fund the higher rate. Bias, Unreliable, Incompetent, and inadequate customer service. I suggest avoiding this company, even if they offer loan incentives. The process is needlessly stressful, and they demand numerous irrelevant documents.
Discrimination, Unprofessional, Inexperienced, and poor customer service. I recommend not going with this company even if they give any incentives for the loan. They make it so stressful and request tons of documents that are irrelevant.

If I could give zero stars I would. This is one of the most unprofessional companies I've ever worked with for any business. Shawna Miles is rude and incompetent. We started off our loan with Shawna and was able to get switched over to Chris Berra thinking that it would make the experience more pleasant. Boy were we wrong, Chris is lazy and will continuously ask you for different things instead of asking for everything at once.
