Holt professional installed a metal roof to our house in 2019 (before we bought it). The house has 4 skylights. We have recently learned that the skylights were retrofitted and they do not work with the roof. They leek and we are now facing the reality of needing to replace both the roof and the skylights. Worst kind of people in the world. They installed a metal roof to my house which started to leak after less than a year after the install. After multiple calls to get help, they actually blocked my number and did not respond at all. My friends realtor was able to force them to contact me as a part of another sale and managed to get them to contact us and get it patched. Now it has started to leak like before them. Why are these scammers allowed to work?

Holt installed my roof in 2014 right before I bought the house, and it began to leak in 2020 because he did such a poor job on a difficult corner. When I called to report the leak, the 5-year warranty had of course expired (who gives a 5-year on a brand new roof!), so he gave me a quote for repairs. When I exclaimed over how high his quote was, he lowered it slightly but it was still the highest bid I got. The repairs were done by another roofer for half Holt's quote.
