Loved the house, loved strolling the grounds, loved the jeep. Had a wonderful relaxing time without hiking or sweating. Had a huckleberry cone. Had a great time. Go there!!!
Very interesting place and story about the people who built it.
Very disappointed. We left the arches early so we could make it over to check out the gift shop and we pulled up at 4:46 (closes at 5) and the gates were being closed. We told her we had just hurried to make it there and she did not care and said they are closing and continued to shut the gates. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Business response:
I am sorry you fill that way. We are open 9-5, every day, at some point we have to start the closing process. We start getting the gates at 4:45 when the last tour starts, at that time, we may still have many people here in the zoo or the stores, most nights, the employees leave here by 5:30. Would you show up at Disneyland at 15 minutes till closing and expect to be let in? At sometime, all businesses have a cutoff time. Hope you will come back.
Nice to stop to have 2 cone ice creams, gift shop is very interesting.👍
We visited in May. We saw Hole in the Rock on our drive to Moab from Needles but at that point were tired and a little grumpy After reading about it, we knew it was a must do while in the area. It was perfect for our last day in the area. We first went to Ken's Lake then drove to H n R. So glad we made the effort, it is quite unique and interesting, a must see if you are in the area. I agree with the above post, not being able to take pictures did not take away from the tour. Have a wonderful and busy summer!
Very cool Place! Their vision and the hard work that went into this place will live on through the ages!!
Went there when I was a kid. Now I was able to take my own kids and I'm happy to say, it's still as I remember it and was happy to be able to share the experience with my kids.
Fun place.
Take the tour inside the carved-out home which has an even temperature of 65 to 72 year-round naturally. Only 12 minutes and $6.50.
