RecommendedThey are amazing I just had bilateral total knee replacements on November 28 2018 and they are feeling better already. Dr Mangiapani did such an amazing job and all the staff at Salt Lake Regional Medical Center did an awesome job at getting me back on my feet
This is an amazing team. I've been dealing with a hip injury for over a year and had 2 previous surgeries prior to be sent to Hofmann Arthritis Institute. I didn't really feel as though my 2 previous we're invested with my well being. Now have having my third and hopefully finally surgery with this group I realize they do have a vested interest in my well being and actually cares even after having surgery. I would recommend if you are having problems with your knees and hips these are the doctors you want to see. From the first appointment, surgery and recovery they are there to answer any questions and help you achieve the mobility you once had. Caring Doctors and Staff is a huge plus when trying to find out what is wrong with your joints.
Dr Hofmann is fantastic! He's done both knees and I feel "young" again!
As an ex-RN, I am thrilled with the caring atmosphere and results of my knee replacement.
My new hip is awesome. It was replaced on November 12, 2014, I walked a mile a week after that (with crutches) and I skied 73 days last winter. Dr Schaeffer gave me my life back.
At the first check up after my knee replacement by Dr Hofmann, I tried to tell the PA I was scheduled with that the leg that had surgery was now shorter than the other. When I saw the physical therapist, he measured me. After surgery I am a full inch shorter on the leg they operated on! It's hard to find ways to compensate for that without spending a lot of money altering every pair of shoes I ever buy. My knee works ok, though.
