I can't rave about this place enough. First, we walked in and were greeted so warmly by Rodney who asked if we had any questions. He explained the menu and what were staff favorites. He was joined by Ricky who was equally friendly and smiling nonstop :) I asked about the green smoothie and Rodney listed the ingredients, including "a whole lot of love" ~ how could I say no to that? Came in after the Women's March on Saturday with my sister and friends and had the most delicious food! We will def be back in when visiting DC. <3 :)
My wife and I were in DC for the Women's March on Washington and stopped into HipCityVeg to grab some take out. The food was excellent, very delicious and the restaurant was clean. In spite of the long lines and people everywhere the staff were truly AMAZING! They were happy, polite, interested in what we were doing, where we were from and thanked us for coming to DC to march and for eating at HipCityVeg! Wow! A lovely community based and supportive company and staff! Kudos!
My small group of three came into Hip City Veg after the women's march. The line was crazy but it moved so quickly. The food was amazing, and I'm not sure if I'll ever have such a good chocolate shake ever again. But the most amazing part of Hip City Veg was the service. Much love to the wonderful women who were working the post Women's March crowd last night. They were delighful, engaged and working their asses off. I hope they got TIP$$$$$.
Tastes good but need to lower price/add more avocado. Bowl is not big and lid came undone easily.
