The Himalaya Restaurant the food really is exceptional and the prices reasonable. First of all, for those culturally sensitive, this is a Pakistani restaurant so the dishes are very similar to Northern Indian cuisine. This means there are lots of goat and lamb choices, biryanis (rice), and kebabs. I am in love � I highly recommend this restaurant.
The owner and staff are HORRIBLE w/ customer service. The food looked good but I couldn’t get that sour taste out of my mouth from the way they treated people there. It just ruined it; and I really wanted to enjoy it! Will never go there again. The owner is aware of how people feel, he just doesn’t care. He's just out to make a quick buck. He’s a lousy human being and should be audited for the sneaky dealings going on there. So disappointed.

The cover photo that says "Put Happiness in Your Mouth" is perfect, because I couldn't stop smiling while eating dinner. I'm still smiling. This is the best Indian/Pakistani food I have ever eaten, and that's saying a lot. Chef Kaiser is brilliant. No complaints about the service, they get busy, as good restaurants do, but everyone was kind and polite and we were too. We’re seated against the wall so I was in a snit about that. But our menu queries were quickly answered and our orders came fairly quickly as well. If you order anything but water it will be in a bottle. So next time it’s water with lemon for me.

The only place I will go! Haven't had a bad dish yet. The service is great. My tea never gets below half full!
There are several Indian restaurants in the same large strip center, but Himalaya Restaurant is the only one with a line of people happily waiting to be seated. Some of the best food I've ever had. I can't decide if it's a good thing or bad thing that I don't live in Houston, so I could go often. 😉
