We live in Washington, DC where excellent restaurants are common. We eat at His-Mak each time that we visit Ashtabula. The sea food is excellent. Ashtabula is fortunate to have this restaurant. I wish that it could be located in Washington! Michael May
Been visiting Hil-Maks for years and never have had anyting but a wonderful time and superb food. Karen and her team do an outstanding job.
This restaurant is a time honored jewel in the Harbor. My family and friends enjoy it and for a moment, it's easy to feel like you are in a cool coastal town in New England!

Worth all the inconvenience, what is important is the high quality of the fish. Best seafood restaurant in the mid-west, ie west of the east coast. It is an Ashtabula institution for almost 50 years. It is a go to restaurant and food quality is more important than ambiance.
My first time there and the food Was the best seafood dinner I’ve ever ate, Sally our waitress and the other young ladies were exceptional at their jobs and were so pleasant! Had a wonderful evening and will be back!
