We had an amazing experience through our pregnancy and delivery with Dr. Hicks and her staff. I am surprised by the past reviews posted as we did not have anything but top notch services and support. She truly cared about our comfort and experience throughout. We immediately received responses to all questions on my chart and saw me immediately when I had concerns. I would highly recommend Dr. Hicks.
I've been seeing Dr. Hicks for 20+ years. She helped me through a miscarriage and then delivered my son and my twins. My baby "B" was breech and she was able to externally flip him to allow a vaginal birth. She has performed an ablation on me about 2 years ago with outstanding results. When it is time for my daughter to see an OBGYN I will not let her see anyone but Dr. Hicks. If you are looking for warm and cuddly is she for you?? Probably not, but if you want someone smart and honest, yes
Saw her once and once was enough. Yucky Doctor! Rush, rush, rush and is incorrect with her treatment. Don't go to her.
I have been seeing dr hicks for 17yrs she delivered my daughter 16 yrs ago and now my daughter is one of her patients I recommend her to all my friends and co workers. I used to stress about having my annual and she makes it so easy and not uncomfortable.
Honestly I DO NOT RECOMMEND HER! SHE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HER CLIENTS! I'm currently pregnant with my FIRST CHILD, and when I had some concerns and called to ask DR HICKS made suggestions that I was having a miscarriage and wouldn't allow me to come in and be seen or anything. It was more so like you're miscarrying so goodbye. This really made me depressed and ruined my day. I even thought I was really miscarrying, but I wasn't! No good. Sorry!
Dr. Hicks took over my care when my doctor moved to a different location.I was 5 months pregnant.Dr.Hicks wasrecommended as very good,& an experienced physician.She came across cold & indifferent to me though. She tried to rush my delivery,&made me feel so stressed during a time that should have been beautiful.She was not present to consult with when I needed her,and she have the nurse instructions to increase my petosin levels,which negatively affected me.She did not stitch me up well after.
I would not recommend Dr. Hicks at all. I saw here the first time and told her I had switched doctors because I had moved back to the Richmond area. She proceeded to talk down about my doctor who had been an excellent doctor for me in the VA Beach area. She also attempted a endometrial biopsy the second time I went and didn't ask me if it was ok and had 2 other interns and 1 ultrasound tech watching her attempt a biopsy. She also spoke very sternly to me during the biopsy, making it worse.
Dr Hicks is a doctor who will make sure you are getting whatever tests or your needs to keep you healthy
