I love Dr. Hicks and the whole staff! I’ve been with her through two pregnancies, two csections, exams, and IUD insertion. She can talk a little fast, but she will repeat and answer any question you have. Dr. Hicks is also very patient with my husband as he always has questions too. She and her staff are very fast at getting back to you with MyChart if you have any questions at all! I truly could not rave about her more.
Dr. Hicks does not take your concerns seriously. She often brushes off your symptoms or concerns as nothing and she pushes unnecessary procedures. When this practice was taken over by Bon Secours, it went down hill. My previous Dr. was amazing, but she left when the practice moved from JW to St. Francis. The Bon Secours way is to have patients wait for 30min in the waiting room and another 30+min in the exam room then rush through a 15min or less appointment and if you have more than one concern....Well you should have made ... read more
Dr. Hicks has been by far my favorite OBGYN. She’s knowledgeable, a straight shooter. She listens and follows up with me on how my pregnancy is going. She keeps the conversation going. She also answers any questions my husband had and treats both of us with respect.
I absolutely LOVE Dr Hicks. I do! 21 years is the length of time I've been a patient of Dr. Hicks. Working in Communications over 30 years one would expect from a healthcare provider a pleasing demeanor, beside manner and thorough knowledge.. well that's what I've come to expect. very kind and professional and best the confidence he offers you as a patient I like very much
I will never go back to this woman. She has been my doctor for about 10 years and I think I have seen her for a total of seven minutes. I went into her office today very worried and she literally had no time for me. My appointment was three minutes long after I had waited 40 minutes. She is very busy and important. Whatever.
If I could leave zero starts for Dr. Hicks I would. She is very dismissive and doesn't care about her patients at all. She has no bedside manner or compassion.
To save time for those who are just scrolling through, Dr. Hicks is a forward, honest, I’ll be it busy DOCTOR, just as any. More importantly, if you get past YOUR anxiety and YOUR impressions of her, she will give you a fair amount of attention if not more when bringing up any concerns or worries. I’ve been going to her since I was 14. There were times I felt she lacked empathy but when I look back, she was being a doctor. All my love and respect.
She did a hack job on my csection and did not have time to properly treat me. I had major blood pressure issues after the surgery and then fluid burst out overnight. She acted as though that was impossible. My mattress does not lie. She does not listen to her patients. Don’t see this doctor.
