I had the johns spicy shrimp and it was more watery like a soup than a cream sauce and my wife had the bacon wrapped shrimp and the bacon was under cooked you couldn't cut it let alone chew it . Jabari
I'm giving this restaurant 2 stars. It wasn't because of the food. It wasn't because of the live jazz music. It is because of the service. Last night feb,28,2017 a couple of friends & myself went to the hut for the first time to grab a bite to eat & a few drinks. When we walked in, nobody greeted us, so we just assumed that we'd seat ourselves. We came for dinner and live music on a Thursday night and both were great! The food quality is back to what it was before their move from Aggieville. The Tiger Wings were a good starter, and my blackened redfish was done perfectly. I can't wait to try some of my old favorites. Glad to see the hut is back in good hands.
The food was excellent but, the service was just ok.
Ate there tonight before the K-state basketball game. Absolutely loved the gumbo and corn bread, and the service was fast and great too!
I have been going to Hibachi Hut since I was a kid. I miss the old location and menu. But, I really enjoy the new location. The service is friendly and it's nice and clean. Good drink specials and the food is very good. We take our kids in there and the service is just as friendly with them. Good family environment. Definitely still will continue to go when I am in Manhattan. Keep up the good work!
Live music on Thursday nights is fantastic, food above the usual Manhattan bar, service excellent. Those who find fault are only looking for fault.
