LOVE,LOVE,LOVE. I am heartbroken to see this iconic restaurant close. The downtown location was an amazing upgrade to the original, once the Cox Brothers took over. Please reconsider. Please help save The Hut.
The bartender, Ryan, was awesome, very personable, he spoke to every single person sitting at the bar as if he had known them for years. He also makes a mean sweet tea that they don't even carry on the menu. Our food was perfect, love the new look and menu.
My friend and I ate their and not only did the staff seem new and somewhat untrained the kitchen staff was as well...Just not a good experience at all, We heard “I’m sorry” or “sorry about that” more than we care to again.
There Cajun fries and Tiger sauce!! Perfection! I can always rely on that to hit the spot �
Hey, I hate to break up the party. I celebrated my 50th birthday in July, all I really wanted was a bowl of gumbo soup. So we went here, now I am even ashamed to say I went there. The gumbo soup, well wasn't, it was brown burnt water with a spoonful of rice and a piece of shrimp terrible. We all placed our orders and when we got them the food was tasteless, my son in law ordered some dish that was supposed to be with shrimp, it was mac and cheese. Loved it! Food was great, just like home. Service was wonderful. And the atmosphere made me relaxed. My 3 year old didn't eat...because he danced the whole time.
Another enjoyable evening with live music by Dr G and the Gumbo Combo; a collection of the most talented blues artists in the area. You cannot help but smile when they perform.
