hour and fifteen still waiting for table was told just a little bit. Two freinds stopped in they left when we told them.

Before renovation/revamp, this use to be my family's favorite Friday fish fry place for generations. Now, the prices are jacked up in comparison to the amount of food given. While the food was decent and the service was moderate, we will not be returning after decades of having our fish frys at Hiawatha.
RecommendedGreat fish fry, comfortable bar, beautiful interior with fireplace made for comfortable dining, was very busy on Friday night but the hostess did her best to get a table for our group of 5 in a timely fashion, Sarah was our waitress and she was great, even the owner came by briefly to make sure everything was okay. I'm from out of town but have family in Wausau so next time I'm in town I will definitely request to go here again for a nice evening out.
