I went to Heywood to have a biopsy done. Everyone who I dealt with from the time I walked through the door until the time I left were absolutely amazing. 💞. Thank you to them for a job well done!
This hospital sucks. I'm sorry but they do. long wait times, rude staff and docs that could give 2 craps.
I can't recommend a hospital that puts budget cuts before patient safety. I also can't recommend an ER that sends you home with pain meds and prescribes bed rest to a patient that has just had surgery. If you can't diagnose the problem and there are no beds available, which is what I was told, send the patient to another hospital where they can get treated. I finally called an ambulance and went to UMass and I'm so glad I did.
Heywood hospital let go a fantastic woman, Marybeth Sherrin. after my surgery I was scared to go home and adjust to my new life post op. Marybeth Sherrin was by my side every step. emails, phone call, when I ended up in the ER for an unrelated issue she was there with me making sure that I was okay. now she's gone and he would lost the greatest part of their hospital 💔😢. Shame on you Heywood hospital I won't recommend you for anything again.
Yesterday Heywood Hospital made a very disheartening decision to let the director of the bariatric surgery program and my hungry head program go. As a successful patient of both of these programs, I can tell you that Marybeth Sherrin was the most integral part of my success with this program both before and after surgery. She was as dedicated to each individual patient as she was to the entire program. I will no longer be recommending the Heywood hospital bariatric program. Such a shame.
I came for Bariatric surgery in Heywood hospital after checking out several other programs, because be of Maribeth Sherrin and the Hungry Head program. Throughout my journey she has provided me with the support I needed via, meetings, email or phone calls. Anyone can get surgery and lose weight, her program and support was the component that will help us keep it off and be successful long term. She will be severely missed. This leaves a gaping hole in your program.
Today, Heywood Hospital terminated MaryBeth Sherrin, the director of Bariatric Surgery, as well as the My Hungry Head program. She is the one responsible for getting the hospital it’s Center of Excellence accreditation for the Bariatric Program, and on her first try, which is unheard of, as well as helping HUNDREDS of patients through the process safely, and with better results than most of the other programs in the region. The CEO of this hospital is penny wise and pound foolish, and he has just sentenced a very successful ... read more
Today Heywood let go the heart and sole of the bariatric surgical weight loss center. I’m devastated. On top of that I’m told they are no longer going to offer the My Hungry Head class that has benefited so many. I just don’t understand....
it come long way, one of the better ones around
