Worst car rental experience I have ever had. My connecting flight to Pittsburgh canceled so I asked to have my reservation transferred to BWI where I was stranded. Got to the front of the line and was told that I would need to call the 800 number. In total spoke with 5 people at the desk and 2 representatives and a supervisor in India to finally get the transfer accomplished. The worst experience I have ever had renting a car starting with Day1. When I got in the car it was dark in the garage & didn't notice the grotesque condition of the front seats. It looked as if a person or animal was incontinent of piss & shit with the gross stains which I didn't notice until I got out of the car in the light. It really grossed me out, because my autoimmune system is shot, & I'm being subjected to further illness. I immediately called & left a message @ BWI& nobody has returned my call as of 5pm. Car was ready to go even though my flight was 2 hours late. Friendly service and bottle of water at the exit.
Car was ready when I landed. Stall number emailed to me so I could bypass the desk. Bottle of water offered at the gate before I drove out. Dropped off my car at a different time than I previously indicated, but Hertz employee checked me in and emailed me a receipt without issue. Doesn't get much better.
