Dr. Heron is a very caring and knowledgeable physician. My wife started going to Dr. Heron about ten years ago because of the care I received . He has performed surgery on me twice with excellent results. My wife is much more knowledgeable about physicians than I . She is an RN , BSN , Cardiac critical care , CCRN and legal nurse consultant. She thinks Dr. Heron is one of the top physicians in his field.
Dr Heron took great care of my husband while he was in the hospital. He was attentive and answered all questions on the procedures being performed and went over results in detail. Would highly recommend.
I believed I had what I thought was a kidney stone due to severe pain in my lower back. I was relieved the office was able to squeeze me in the morning that I called. Dr. Heron was professional and thorough. I highly recommend him for urology services.
Excellent doctor Very Thorough
He was nice enough to me at my first visit. The second visit he told me I had a tumor (I was in my 20s). A few seconds later he said sorry I'm bad at this and left the room. His office never called with my follow up cat scan results leaving me to wonder way too long if I had cancer. I decided to order my own records. I response they then sent me the wrong patient's medical file.
Dr Heron is very professional and caring. He does very well with advanced age patients like my mother. Very kind and considerate.
very favorable
This guy is a quack and is only interested in how much he can bill you or your insurance company. I was scheduled for a biopsy and it was done in his office using a local anesthesia. Can you say barbaric?2 days after performing the biopsy, I was not feeling well and went back to see him. He told me I should just get some rest. 2 days later, I was hospitalized due to a blood infection (sepsis). I wouldn’t let this guy touch me again if my life depended on it.
I visited Dr. Heron to determine if I had prostate cancer. He was knowledgeable, professional, and helpful, but I opted to go to Moffitt Cancer Center for surgery because Dr. Heron does not perform robot-assisted radical prostatectomy. I later learned that some docs use general anesthesia when conducting a biopsy, but he used a local. OUCH! My biggest complaint is that they said they were in network for UHC insurance, but used a diagnostic co. that was not so I had to eat the nearly $2K fee!
