I have been a patient for near 25 yrs. when I first had a UTI and another doctor was treating it with no results. Dr. Herman knocked it out quickly. I have always found that he listens and takes notes on what I report. He is very hands on-takes his blood right there himself, rather than sending you out to another facility. He is very thorough and conservative in his approach. If you report a pain, he will order a sonogram or a CT to be certain of the cause or to eliminate other causes. Tried to reach him after hours and got incompetent and rude answering service. He never called me to find out what I needed. Don't bother with him there are excellent urologists in pgh, but not him!
Dr. Herman was very rude to me during my visit, showing visible annoyance when I asked him questions about my condition. It was as if he wanted me to get out of his office as soon as possible. Avoid him!
Unsanitary conditions.
The more I learn about Urology, the more I learn this doctor does not follow best practices I suffered much for my naive trust.
Dr. Herman has been my urologist for 30+ years. He has always been very concerned for my wellbeing and I totally trust his professional judgement. He has always taken the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. The office staff is friendly and my office wait time has been minimal. I would highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a urologist
Called about a procedure. He had my consult booked a week later and the surgery a week after that. In and out in 20 minutes, quick recovery, zero judgements or issues. I would highly recommend him.
I was extremely happy and thankful for Dr. Herman’s handling of my vasectomy procedure. It was very straightforward and painless process with him. I highly recommend
Didn't explain the condition, didnt sterilize the area before an in office surgical procedure. Didn't anesthetize the very sensitive area first. Very cavalier about the pain. Spent as little time as possible. Didn't take any vital statistics. Maybe after 41 years it's time for him to retire.
