Food was excellent, although the menu was limited we both were happy with our selection. Meat cooked intently, portions were perfect no doggy bag but we left feeling full and satisfied.
First time at Herd. NY strip was quite tasty- perfect medium rare, great and unique flavors with just a hint of a coffee rub. We tried a nice sampling of the menus and everyone loved the meatball lollipops and roasted Brussels sprouts. Deserts were spot on as well. Relaxed atmosphere with unique flavors that we don't get at all the usual greater Hartford area restaurants. Service was perfect and very accommodating to a couple of dietary needs. Will be back. We all decided to try the pub menu next time.

I'm a pescatarian and they had several fish choices. I went with the scallops with a tomato based sauce and potatoes. It was delicious. The Lavender Bees Knees martini was delicious. I love lavender drinks and this had a nice tartness of lemon mixed in. It was great. My husband had the NY strip special. He enjoyed it and would rate it about 4 stars �
First time at Herd last night. Food and service was phneminal! A must go to. We'll be back.
I've never tasted such great food. I loved it so much, I asked to speak to the chef and complimented him in person. Highly recommend!

I eat out everywhere. up to three meals a day for close most of my adult life. Travel to eat all the way to my just for pizza and this place blew me away. Deff gonna be a regular.
